VS1 High Voltage Circuit Breaker: Core Components, Working Principle, and Advantages in Power Systems

The VS1 vacuum circuit breaker adopts a modular design and mainly includes the following core components:

1. Vacuum arc extinguishing chamber: achieving millisecond level arc extinguishing.

2. Operating mechanism: Spring operating mechanism or permanent magnet operating mechanism, controls opening and closing.

3. Insulation support: epoxy resin casting, high-strength insulation.

4. Conductive circuit: dynamic/static contacts and conductive poles, current carrying and short-circuit resistance.

Working principle of VS1 circuit breaker:When a fault signal is detected, the moving and static contacts of the circuit breaker quickly separate. Since the contacts are in a vacuum environment where there is no ionizable gas, the electric arc is rapidly extinguished immediately upon its generation due to the lack of a medium to sustain it.

Technical advantages:This technology ensures low wear, high efficiency, and reliable safety for systems operating at 10 kV–126 kV. Strong breaking capacity (up to 40kA), long lifespan (mechanical lifespan of over 10000 times), and maintenance free.

Selection points: Match the model according to the rated current (630A-4000A), short-circuit capacity, and environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor).
